 2.  Galley Area Floor Covering__________________________
 A.  Galley area floor covering is installed in galley walkways. Mats are secured with double-back adhesive tapes to water resistant floor panels which cover the galley complex footprint. Aisle mat edges are covered by thresholds.
 3.  Floor Water Barrier___________________
 A.  The floor water barrier is a vinyl or mylar covering that protects floor panels from moisture in the lavatory, and upper deck entry areas, and directly outside galley footprints under mat areas.
 4.  Upper Deck Floor Covering_________________________
 A.  The upper deck floor is covered with sections of carpeting over sponge pads. The carpets and pads are fastened together and to the floor panels by double-back adhesive tapes. A plastic carpet gripper secures the carpet edge at the stairwell.
 5.  Lavatory Floor Covering_______________________
 A.  Lavatory modules are installed over a protective water barrier. Lavatory floor covering is covered in Chapter 25-40-00.

 A.  This procedure contains these tasks:

The removal of the floor covering in the galley area.

 (2)  
The installation of the floor covering in the galley area.

 B.  Use this procedure if it is necessary to get access to the adjacent equipment.
 C.  The floor covering in the galley area has the vinyl mat or carpet which attaches to the moisture barrier with the doubleback tape.
