(1) If it is necessary, adjust the inboard bogie unit on the aft seat track.
(a) Tighten the adjustment nut until the tapered-roller lightly touches the seat track.

If it is necessary, adjust the inboard bogie unit on the forward seat track.
(3)
If it is necessary, adjust the two outboard bogie units.

(4)
Do an operational check for the movement of the seat.

(a) Make sure the seat moves and locks along the full range of travel on the seat tracks.

OBSERVERS' SEATS - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General_______
A. There are two tasks in this procedure. The first task is the removal of the two observers' seats from the flight compartment. The second task is the installation of the two observers' seats in the flight compartment.
B. The first observer's seat is on the right side of the flight compartment. The second observer's seat is on the left side of the flight compartment. The first observer's seat attaches to the flight compartment floor. The second observer's seat attaches to a stowage box. The stowage box attaches to the floor and to the sidewall console which is outboard of the seat.

2. Remove the Observers' Seats (Fig. 401)___________________________

B. Remove the first observer's seat.

Remove the four bolts which attach the seat to the flight compartment floor.

(2)
Remove the seat.
C. Remove the second observer's seat.

(1)
Open the access door on the aft end of the stowage box.
S 024-010
(2)
Remove the six bolts which attach the seat to the top of the stowage box.
(3)
Remove the seat.

(4)
Remove the stowage box if it is necessary.
(a)
Remove the screws on the outboard side of the stowage box next to the observer's sidewall console.
(b)
Remove the six bolts which attach the stowage box to the flight compartment floor.
(c)
Remove the stowage box.
