_________
 A.  General
 (1)
The captain's seat and the first officer's seat operate on 115-volt ac power. The source of the electrical power for the captain's seat comes from the main generator bus No. 2 through the 414D8 CAPT PWR SEAT circuit breaker on the P414 Power Distribution panel. The source of the electrical power for the first officer's seat comes from the main generator bus No. 3 through the 415H32 F/O PWR SEAT circuit breaker on the P415 Power Distribution panel.
 (2)
The airplane is equipped with an emergency power cutoff switch on the aft inboard side of the captain's and first officer's seat. This switch is located in a position to be accessible to the other pilot.
 B.  Pilots' Seat Adjustment Controls
 (1)
Manual Horizontal Adjustment
(a) Operation of the manual horizontal adjustment control handle, located on inboard side of seat, allows the seat to be manually adjusted fore and aft incrementally along the seat tracks.
 (2)
Powered Horizontal Adjustment (Fig. 3)
 (3)
Manual Vertical Adjustment
(a) Operation of the manual vertical adjustment control handle, located on outboard side of seat, allows the seat to be manually raised or lowered incrementally.
 (4)

(a) Operation of the powered vertical adjustment control switch, located on inboard side of seat, provides 115/200-volt, 400-Hz, 3-phase ac power to an electric motor which operates to raise or lower the seat. Upon release of the power adjustment control switch, the electric motor stops and locks the seat in the desired vertical position.
 (5)
Manual Seat Back Recline Adjustment
(a) Operation of the manual seat back recline adjustment control handle, located on outboard side of seat, allows the seat back to be manually adjusted fore and aft incrementally.
 (6)
Manual Thigh Support Pad Adjustment
 (a)  Operation of the manual thigh support pad adjustment control handwheel, located on inboard side of seat, allows the thigh pad to be manually raised or lowered incrementally.
