CAUTION:_______ FOR POWERED SEATS, MAKE SURE THE ROLLER ARM IS IN CONTACT WITH
THE FLAT SIDE OF THE DRIVE RACK ON INSTALLATION OF THE SEATS.
INCORRECT LOCATION OF THE ROLLER ARM CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE
LOWER SEAT BASE STRUCTURE.

Make sure the roller arm is installed on the flat side of the drive rack.

Roll the seat aft until the pinion reaches the track mounted rack.
NOTE: The pinion gear is below the actuator on the aft outboard
____ side of the seat. The pinion rack is on the aft seat track on the outboard side.

(5) Depress the horizontal control handle (manual override) located on the forward inboard side of the seat to disengage the pinion.
NOTE: The pinion may be rotated by hand as necessary to mesh with
____ pinion rack on the track.

Visually check that there is no damage to the seats fore and aft microswitches on the underside of the seat base.

Roll seat aft until pinion is meshed.
NOTE: Make sure the roller arm is on the outboard side of the track

(8) S 984-123Release the manual control handle.
(9) S 424-124Install the stop blocks on the seat tracks.

Connect the seat connector to the sidewall connector.

Adjust the swivel rollers (refer to the Bogie Assembly Adjustment task in this procedure).

Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tag and close the circuit breakers on the power distribution panel P414 and P415:
(a)
414D8 CAPT PWR SEAT

415H32 F/O PWR SEAT

(13) Do these steps for the electrical operation check of the seat:
(a)
Make sure the emergency power cutoff switch is in the ON position.
(b)
Use the power control switch to make sure the seat will move in the forward and aft direction.
(c)
Use the power control switch to move the seat to the fully forward position.
(d)
Release the power control switch.
(e)
Make sure the seat locks in the fully forward position.
(f)
Make sure the clearance between the stop-blocks and the forward bogie unit is 0.030-0.120 inches. 1) If the clearance between the forward bogie unit and the
stop-blocks is less than 0.030 inch, adjust the forward microswitch down (AMM 25-11-00/201).

2) If the clearance between the forward bogie unit and the
stop-blocks is greater than 0.120 inch, adjust the forward
microswitch up (AMM 25-11-00/201).
(g) Use the manual control lever to make sure the seat will move
aft.
(h) Use the power contol switch to move the seat to the fully aft
position.
(i) Release the power control switch.
(j) Make sure the seat locks in the fully aft position.
