SIDEWALL AND CEILING INSULATION - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General_______
A. This procedure contains two tasks which are to remove and install the insulation blankets and cap strips. These blankets are installed between the sidewall and the ceiling structure. The instructions in this procedure are an example for all insulation blankets on the airplane.
B. Remove the blankets if they are torn or damaged, or if it is necessary to examine the airplane structure.
C. A part number for each blanket is identified with a stamp on the inboard side of the blanket. Install each blanket with the part number inboard to make sure you install it correctly.
D. If it is necessary to remove many blankets, identify each blanket with tag to show its location. Also, keep the fasteners for each blanket with the blanket to make the installation of the blankets easier.
E. If you want to repair the insulation blankets, refer to 25-00-00/801, Equipment and Furnishings.
