DO NOT BREATHE THE FUMES FROM THE ADHESIVES AND SOLVENTS. USE A PROTECTIVE SPLASH GOGGLE, GLOVES, AND A RESPIRATOR (IN CONFINED AREAS) WHEN YOU USE THE ADHESIVES AND SOLVENTS. KEEP THE ADHESIVES AND SOLVENTS AWAY FROM ALL SOURCES OF IGNITION (HEAT, FLAME, AND SPARKS). THE ADHESIVES AND SOLVENTS YOU USE ARE POISONOUS AND FLAMMABLE . IF YOU DO NOT USE THE CORRECT PROCEDURES AND EQUIPMENT, INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO THE EQUIPMENT CAN OCCUR.
 (2)  This procedure uses adhesives and solvents to repair the zipper slider on a cargo lining. There must be sufficient air flow in the area where you use the adhesives and solvents. You must not get the adhesives and solvents in your mouth or eyes, or on your skin.
 B. Consumable Materials

B00137 Abrasive paper (120 grit or finer)

Adhesive, BMS 5-7 Type I or Type II

 E. Procedure
 S 028-045
 (1)  
Remove the cargo lining from the support structure if it is
 necessary (AMM 25-52-01/401 or AMM 25-55-02/401).

 (2)  
Remove the seal cap retainer from the end of the zipper chain and discard it.

 NOTE:____The seal cap retainer is bonded to the zipper chain. A solvent can be used to loosen the bond.

 (3)  Remove the end stop retainer from the end of the zipper chain and discard it.
 NOTE: A pair of pliers can be used to remove the end stop retainer.

 (4)  Move the zipper slider to the end of the zipper chain.
 NOTE: The zipper chain will be open.

Remove the zipper slider from the zipper chain and discard it.

 (6)  
Install the new zipper slider on the end of the zipper chain.

 NOTE: The zipper slider must engage the teeth of the zipper chain

 correctly.

 (7)  Move the zipper slider away from the end of the zipper chain.
 NOTE: The zipper chain will be closed.
