(2) Install the crash pads at the No. 1, 2 and 3 window posts.
NOTE: On the No. 2 window post, be careful not to remove the
____ pilot's eye position indicator stripe when you install the crash pad. The indicator stripe is bonded to the crash pad. Make sure you mark the location of the stripe on the crash pad if the stripe is removed (AMM 25-13-00/001).
(a) Hold the crash pads in place and install the screws and the hole plugs.

FLIGHT COMPARTMENT FLOOR COVERING - DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION

1. General_______
A. Carpet sections are shaped to butt-fit against seat tracks and other installed equipment. The carpets are bound at all edges to prevent fraying. Carpet sections are secured either by velcro hook-and-loop tape or by double-back tape on its perimeters, around all cutouts, and along the edges at the elevated floor areas.

FLIGHT COMPARTMENT FLOOR COVERINGS - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General
_______
A. There are two tasks in this procedure. The first task is the removal of the floor coverings in the flight compartment. The second task is the installation of the floor coverings.
B. There are a number of floor covering sections installed on the floor of the flight compartment. Do this procedure for one or all of the floor covering sections.

Remove the observers' seats, if it is necessary (AMM 25-11-03/401).

Remove the pilots' seats, if it is necessary (AMM 25-11-01/401).

Remove the screws which attach the threshold at the flight compartment door.
(4)
Remove the threshold.
S 024-005
(5)
Pull up along all the edges of the floor covering section to remove it from the floor.

NOTE: The floor covering section is held to the floor with
____ double-back tape and/or velcro tape.
