A. This task gives the instructions for the visual check of the upper deck galleys and their related equipment.

B. Procedure

(1) Examine the galley units:
(a)
Do a check of the refrigeration system for tightness, correct condition and leakage.
(b)
Do a check of the galley trim for a tight bond to the metal surfaces, cracks or other damage.
(c)
Do a check of the galley structure for corrosion, loose rivets, loose fastener inserts, worn areas and other damage.
(d)
Make sure that all of the hinges operate easily.
(e)
Do a check of all the latch assemblies for the correct condition and correct operation.
(f)
Do a check of the door hold-open devices for the correct operation.
(g)
Do a check of all the module safety devices for the correct condition and operation.
(h)
Clean the devices if it is necessary.
(i)
Do a check of all the counter top sections that you can remove for the correct condition and operation.
(j)
Do a check of the sealant between the galley and the airplane floor. 1) Replace the sealant if it is necessary (AMM 25-32-01/401,
25-27-02/401 and 25-27-03/401).
(k)
Do a check of the overhead tie-rods for the correct condition.
(l)
Do a check of the floor fittings for the correct condition.
(m)
Apply a layer of the corrosion preventive compound if it is necessary (Ref 25-32-01/401).

UPPER DECK GALLEYS - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General_______
A. This procedure has these tasks:
(1)
The removal of the upper deck galley.
(2)
The installation of the upper deck galley.
B. Make sure the airplane is in the correct configuration for the safe removal and installation of the galley units.
C. The upper deck galley unit is installed on the left side of the flight compartment facing front. You must disassemble the galley unit to remove it from the upper deck compartment.
D. Components should be grouped together with the attaching parts removed. When you disassemble the galley units, put labels on the removed parts to identify which larger unit they belong to.
E. Put labels on electrical connectors after their removal.
