(2) Rigid Cargo Liners Permanent Repairs
NOTE: This procedure uses a patch or doubler and adhesives to
____ repair the rigid cargo linings. The patch or doubler must be made of the same material as the rigid cargo lining.
(a) There are two permanent repair alternatives for the rigid cargo liners. 1) It is not necessary to remove the liners from the airplane
for these permanent repairs. It is necessary to make sure
that underlying structure is not contacted by screws when
you use repair (a):
a) The use of screws with a bonded fiberglass patch.

2) It is not necessary to remove the liners for these permanent repairs: a) The Thermion Repair System which uses a bonded patch.
(b) If the permanent repairs done to the cargo liners are not one of the above alternatives, install mechanical fasteners around the edges of the existing patches. Refer to one of the first two permanent repair procedures for the fastener installation. If you can remove the old patch, such as a temporary repair, install a bonded patch over the original damage. Refer to one of the last two permanent repair procedures for the installation of a bonded patch.
(3) Flexible Cargo Liners Permanent Repairs
NOTE: This procedure uses a patch and an adhesive to repair the
____ flexible cargo linings. The patch must be made of the same material as the flexible cargo lining.

Repairs for Molded Panels, Shrouds, and Panels with Complex Curves.
(5)
Flexible Cargo Liner Zipper Slider Repairs

2. Cargo Liner Tape Repairs

A. General
(1) This procedure gives the instructions to replace the loose or damaged tape on the cargo linings. It is important to replace the loose or damaged tape. The tape is used to prevent the leakage of the fire retardant (halon gas) out of the cargo compartments. Thus, it is necessary to install the tape correctly. The procedure has these parts:
(a)
Remove the loose or damaged tape
(b)
Clean the cargo lining with a solvent
(c)
Install the new tape.
