 CONTAINERIZED CARGO COMPARTMENT CEILING AND SIDEWALL LININGS -

 1.  General_______
 A.  There is one task in this procedure. The task is a visual inspection/check of the linings in the forward, aft and bulk cargo compartments. The task applies to the linings on the sidewalls, ceilings, and bulkheads in each compartment. The task is to make sure you repair or replace a damaged lining correctly.
 B.  This task includes an inspection of the decompression vents in the cargo compartments.
 C.  It is necessary to seal the fasteners, the joints, the edges, and the holes in the linings correctly to keep the amount of oxygen in the compartment to a minimum.

 (1)  Do the permanent repair procedure if the linings are damaged less than these limits below (AMM 25-52-01/801):
 (a)  
Tears no more than 12 inches long

 (b)  
"L" type tears no more than 9 inches long on each side

 (c)  
Holes no more than 1.5 inches in diameter

 (d)  
No more than one damaged fastener

 (e)  
Damaged zippers

 (f)  
Loose or no tape installed over the lining fasteners, joints, and edges.

 (2)  S 906-006Replace the applicable linings that have more that the above damage limits (AMM 25-52-01/401 or 25-55-02/401).
 (3)  S 716-008Do a check of the decompression vents (Fig. 601): (a) Make sure the blow-out panel is fully engaged between the capture strip and the bulb seal. (b) Make sure the flow-thru grill is firmly attached and is inboard of the blow-out panel. (c) Replace the blow-out panel if it is necessary.

 A.  This procedure contains the tasks for the repair of the cargo linings installed in the cargo compartments. The cargo linings are installed on the ceilings, sidewalls, and bulkheads in each cargo compartment. There are two types of cargo linings; rigid cargo linings and flexible cargo linings.
