G. Do a Check of the Operation of the Guide Rail Actuator.

(1) For the applicable guide rail actuator, remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags and close these circuit breakers:
(a)
P86 Forward Lower Cargo Equipment Panel
1) BAY 2 RIGHT
2) BAY 2 LEFT
3) LATERAL GUIDE FWD
4) LATERAL GUIDE AFT
(b)
P59 Aft Lower Cargo Equipment Panel
1) BAY 9 RIGHT PDU
2) BAY 9 LEFT PDU
3) BAY 10 RIGHT PDU
4) BAY 10 LEFT PDU
5) LATERAL GUIDE ACTUATOR
6) AFT LATERAL GUIDE
(c)
P414 Main Power Distribution Center Panel - Left 1) 414F15 CARGO DOOR CONTROL FWD 2) 414F16 CARGO DOOR CONTROL AFT

(2) Do the steps that follow to extend and retract the guide rails through many cycles:
(a)
Move the power drive switch to the FWD or the AFT DRIVES position.
(b)
Extend the guide rails: 1) Move the lateral guide switch to the NORMAL position. 2) Move the joystick to the IN or the OUT position.
(c)
Retract the guide rails:
1) Move the lateral guide switch to the RETRACT FWD or the RETRACT BOTH position.

(3) Move the power drive switch to the OFF position.

Make sure the guide rail that is on the top of the actuator is to the dimension shown (Dimension A).

If the guide rail is not to the correct dimension, adjust the guide rail:
(a) For the applicable guide rail actuator, open these circuit breakers and attach the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags: 1) P86 Forward Lower Cargo Equipment Panel
a) BAY 2 RIGHT
b) BAY 2 LEFT
c) LATERAL GUIDE FWD
d) LATERAL GUIDE AFT
2) P59 Aft Lower Cargo Equipment Panel
a) BAY 9 RIGHT PDU
b) BAY 9 LEFT PDU
c) BAY 10 RIGHT PDU
d) BAY 10 LEFT PDU
e) LATERAL GUIDE ACTUATOR
f) AFT LATERAL GUIDE
3) P414 Main Power Distribution Center Panel - Left a) 414F15 CARGO DOOR CONTROL FWD b) 414F16 CARGO DOOR CONTROL AFT
(b) Adjust dimension A for the forward guide rail in the forward or the aft compartment: 1) Make sure the rod length is 6.20 (| 0.01) inches
(Dimension B).
CAUTION:_______YOU MUST ADJUST THE ROD END BEARING CORRECTLY. THE BEARING CAN TOUCH OTHER SURFACES IF IT IS NOT ADJUSTED CORRECTLY. THIS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE EQUIPMENT WHEN YOU OPERATE THE ACTUATOR.
2) Make sure the dimension X for the rod end bearing is 1.02 to 1.28 inches.

3) Tighten the jamnut on the rod end bearing if it is loose.
CAUTION:_______YOU MUST ADJUST THE ROD END BEARING CORRECTLY. THE BEARING CAN TOUCH OTHER SURFACES IF IT IS NOT ADJUSTED CORRECTLY. THIS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE EQUIPMENT WHEN YOU OPERATE THE ACTUATOR.
(c)
For the aft guide rail in the forward and the aft compartment, adjust the rod end bearing to dimension A.
(d)
Tighten the jamnut on the rod end bearing.

Continue to adjust the guide rail until dimension A is to the correct dimension.
