Remove the wing bolts from the strainer assembly.

Remove the strainer element from the strainer housing (AMM 25-31-13/401).

Remove all of the unwanted materials from the strainer element.

Clean the strainer element fully with a weak detergent and water that is warm.

(5) S 167-005Clean the rubber O-ring and all the mating surfaces to make sure you get a satisfactory seal after installation. (a) Replace a damaged or worn O-ring seal.
(6) S 427-006Install the strainer element into the strainer housing (AMM 25-31-13/401).
(7) S 427-011Install the wing bolts on the strainer assembly.
(8) S 167-012Clean the surrounding area of the drain strainer. (a) Remove all liquid and debris that may have spilled below the drain strainer. (b) Place all waste material in a plastic bag for disposal. (c) Clean all liquid with an absorbant towel.

1. General

A. This procedure gives the instructions to clean the inlet filter for the galley ventilation system.
B. To clean the inlet filter you must remove, clean and install the filters. Clean the filters regularly to make sure that the galleys have sufficient ventilation.

(a) Put the soap with the water in a bucket.
NOTE: A sufficient quantity of soap with water must

Remove the filter from the grill.
