(c) In order to prevent corrosion-inhibiting compound (CIC) contamination of insulation blankets, obey the following steps prior to blanket installation:
NOTE: Adjust the ventilation times of the following steps
____ upward to achieve satisfactory drying. Drying depends on the temperature, humidity, and quantity of CIC.
1) Ventilate areas, after application of CIC such as BMS 3-23, for a minimum of 1 hour. 2) Ventilate area, after application of CIC such as BMS 3-26 or BMS 3-29, for a minimum of 4 hours.

CAUTION:_______ FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS IN FIG. 401 TO INSTALL THE BLANKET AND
CAP STRIPS, AND TO PUT THE TABS IN THEIR POSITION. YOU MUST
INSTALL THEM CORRECTLY TO PREVENT EQUIPMENT DAMAGE AND TO KEEP
CONDENSATION TO A MINIMUM.
MAKE SURE YOU INSTALL THE BAFFLE BLANKETS WITH MINIMUM DISTANCE
BETWEEN THE BLANKETS AND OTHER COMPONENTS. THE BAFFLE BLANKETS
SUPPLY A BARRIER TO PREVENT THE SPREAD OF A FIRE THROUGH THE
ENVIRONMENTAL CONTROL SYSTEM (ECS).
(3) Install each blanket to make an overlap of its edges with adjacent blankets 2.00 (|0.50) inches to make a seal.
NOTE: The blanket part number must be inboard.
