Open the access door on the aft end of the stowage box.

Install the six bolts to attach the stowage box to the flight compartment floor.

Install the screws to attach the stowage box to the observer's sidewall console.
(2)
Open the access door on the aft end of the stowage box.
(3)
Set the seat on top of the stowage box.

FLIGHT COMPARTMENT ACCOMMODATIONS - DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION_____________________________________________________________
1. General_______
2. A. Accommodations installed in the flight compartment include consoles at each crewmember station, a pilots' glareshield, pilots' eye position indicators, sunvisors, stowage provisions, and worktables. For examples of other miscellaneous equipment installed in the flight compartment, see (Fig. 1).Equipment Consoles__________________ A. The captain's and the first officer's consoles are located outboard of each pilots' seat. Indicating instruments installed on the consoles are described in Chapter 31 of the AMM. Other equipment on each console includes ashtrays, cupholders and pencil holders. B. The observer's console is located outboard of the observer's seat and

4. 5. A. The glareshield keeps glare from the lights on the instrument panels out of the pilots' eyes. It extends across the control cabin above the center instrument panel (P2), the captain's instrument panel (P1), and the first officer's instrument panel (P3).Pilots' Eye Position Indicators_______________________________ A. Crossed lines serving as an eye reference position indicator are located on each No. 2 window post crash pad (Fig. 2).Pilots' Sunvisors_________________
6. 7. A. The pilots' sunvisors are provided to shield the pilots' eyes from glaring sunlight (Fig. 2). In addition, roller sunshades are provided at the bottom of the No. 2 window and at the top of the No. 3 window.Stowage Provisions__________________ A. The captain's and first officer's sidewall equipment consoles provide stowage for flight kits and flight manuals. B. The first observer's sidewall console provides stowage for flight manuals, smoke goggles, spare bulbs, and a headset. In addition, stowage is provided for coats, hats and descent devices. C. The second observer's sidewall console provides stowage for flight manuals, smoke goggles, a headset, a hand-microphone, a rain repellant bottle, a fire extinguisher bottle, and a crash axe. In addition, a lockable stowage compartment is beneath the second observer's seat for stowage of miscellaneous equipment. D. Flight kit tiedowns with a retractable strap are adjacent to the captain's and first officer's seats.Worktables__________
A. Worktables are provided in different locations in the flight compartment.
