D. Prepare for the Removal

Supply electrical ground power (AMM 24-22-00/201).

Open the cargo compartment door (AMM 52-34-00/001).

WARNING: BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU ARE NEAR THE OPENING OF THE CARGO
_______ COMPARTMENT DOOR. INSTALL A SAFETY BARRIER (3PRE65B00040) ACROSS THE OPENING OF THE DOOR UNLESS AN ACCESS STAND IS AT THE DOOR. INJURY TO PERSONS CAN OCCUR IF THEY FALL THROUGH THE OPENING OF THE DOOR.

Install a safety barrier (3PRE65B00040) across the opening of the cargo compartment door if it is necessary.

Push the CAUTION switch-light on the cargo control panel until it starts to flash.

Make sure the POWER DRIVE SYSTEM switch on the cargo control panel is in the OFF position.
E. Remove the Ceiling Lining

Remove the tape from the lining and discard it.

Do these steps if the lining has rubstrips:
NOTE: The ceiling linings in the area of the cargo compartment door

have rubstrips.
(a)
Remove the screws which hold the rubstrips to the lining.
(b)
Remove the rubstrips from the lining.

Remove the screws from the lining.
(4)
Remove the lining from the structure.

(1) For the aft divider curtain in the forward compartment, do the steps that follow:
(a) Install the foam tape on the structure where you will install the curtain.

(2) For a flexible vertical lining, engage the button fasteners and the velcro tape to attach it to the structure.
