(d) Pin NS-4 in the cable compensator, located in the bay aft of
the nose wheel well bulkhead (Fig. 502).
1) Adjust the length of cables NWS1A and NWS1B, if it is
necessary, so that the pin may be put in.
NOTE:____ The rigging pin must go through the housing and
engage both cable drums.
(e) Pin NS-5 in the summing lever in the nose gear shock strut.
1) Adjust the length of cables NWS2A and NWS2B, if it is
necessary, so that the pin may be put in.
NOTE:____ The rigging pin must engage the structure on
both sides.
(f) Pin NS-6 in the metering valve input arm on the nose gear shock
strut
1) Adjust the length of the connecting rod (Fig. 502), if it
is necessary, so that the pin may be put in.
(g) The rudder rigging pin R-3 (No. 3 pin of rudder system) in the
rudder quadrant under the flight deck floor (AMM 27-21-00/501)

Align the nose gear wheel vertical plane within | 1/4 degree of the airplane centerline.

Adjust the steering rod (Fig. 501) length so that the attaching bolts fit freely, and then install the rod.

Make sure that rigging pin NS-3 is loose, but do not remove it.

Adjust the length of the connecting rod (Fig. 502), so that rigging pins NS-5 and NS-6 are loose, and connect it to the metering valve input arm.

Do not remove the rig pin.

AIRPLANES WITH NEW CABLES; Tighten NWS1A/NWS1B and NWS2A/NWS2B cables to 120.00 (| 10) pounds.
