Disconnect the connecting rod from the metering valve input arm.

Make sure that the rudder interconnect mechanism installation is in the rudder pedal steering engaged position with actuator No. 1 retracted and actuator No. 2 extended.

Disconnect the steering rod on the steering crank assembly under the flight deck floor.

Remove the tow safety pin, if it is installed.

Install the following rigging pins:

 (a)  
Pin NS-1 in the left-hand tiller drum

 1)  Make sure that the rigging pin engages the structure on both sides (Fig. 502).

 (b)  
Pin NS-2 in the right-hand tiller drum 1) Adjust the length of cable NWS1B, if it is necessary, so that the pin may be put in.

 2)  Make sure that the rigging pin engages the structure on both sides (Fig. 502).

 (c)  
Pin NS-3 in the rudder pedal interconnect quadrant under the flight deck floor 1) Adjust the length of cables NSW1A and NWS1B, if it is


 necessary, so that the pin may be put in. 2) Make sure that the pin engages the structure on both sides (Fig. 501).
