Prepare the CDU for the test:
(a)
Push the MENU key on the CDU to show the MENU.
(b)
Push the line select key (LSK) that is adjacent to <CMC to show the CMC MENU. 1) If <RETURN shows after you push the LSK, push the LSK that
is adjacent to <RETURN until you see the CMC MENU.
(c)
Push the LSK that is adjacent to <GROUND TESTS to show the GROUND TESTS menu.
(d)
Push the NEXT PAGE key until you find <32 BRAKE CONTROL.
(e)
Push the LSK that is adjacent to <32 BRAKE CONTROL to show the GROUND TESTS menu for the brake control system.

H. Autobrake Application Ground Test

Push the LSK that is adjacent to <A/BRK APPLICATION.

After the instructions of the TEST PRECONDITIONS screens are complete, push the START TEST> LSK to start the test.

Monitor the pressure at the brakes during the test and make sure that the results of the test are as follows:
(a)
The pressure at the brakes at the start of the test is between 0 and 50 psig.
(b)
The pressure at the brakes then increases to a range related to the autobrake level for approximately 10 seconds.
NOTE: During the test, a CDU screen shows this pressure range.

(c)
The pressure at the brakes then decreases to between 100 and 500 psig, and stays in this range for approximately 15 seconds.
(d)
The pressure then decreases to between 0 and 50 psig, and stays at this level.
(e)
The AUTOBRAKES selector switch moves to the DISARM position.

(4) Repeat the test with the AUTOBRAKES selector switch set in each of the other positions that arm the system.

I. Put the Airplane Back to Its Usual Condition

Remove power from hydraulic system No. 4 (AMM 29-11-00/201).

Do these steps at each brake unit to remove the pressure gage and to install a brake bleeder assembly (2 locations):
(a)
Make sure that the parking brake is released.
(b)
Make sure that the brakes are not operated manually.
WARNING: THE BRAKES MUST NOT BE IN OPERATION WHEN YOU CONNECT OR
_______ DISCONNECT THE TWO PARTS OF A HYDRAULIC BRAKE DISCONNECT. IF YOU TRY TO CONNECT OR DISCONNECT A HYDRAULIC BRAKE DISCONNECT WITH THE BRAKE IN OPERATION, HYDRAULIC FLUID UNDER HIGH PRESSURE CAN RELEASE. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONNEL AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(c)
To remove all pressure from the brake, disconnect the hose half of the hydraulic brake disconnect from the brake half.
