CAUTION: DO NOT TOUCH THE CONNECTOR PINS OR OTHER CONDUCTORS ON THE
_______ BTMU. IF YOU TOUCH THESE CONDUCTORS, ELECTROSTATIC DISCHARGE CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE BTMU.
(b)
Install dust caps on the electrical connectors (AMM 20-41-01/201).
(c)
Remove the clamps from the BTMU (2 locations).
(d)
Remove the BTMU from the E6 shelf (AMM 20-11-22/401).

You must do the ground test for the Brake Temperature Monitoring System (BTMS) after the installation of a replacement BTMU.

STEERING - DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION

1. General_______
A. Steering systems for the nose gear and body gear provide airplane directional control during ground maneuvers and taxiing. Body gear steering also reduces tire scrubbing when the airplane is turned with nose wheel angles greater than | 20 degrees. Hydraulic system No. 1 provides power for both nose and body gear steering systems.
