Prepare the CDU for the test:
(a)
Push the MENU key on the CDU to show the MENU.
(b)
Push the line select key (LSK) that is adjacent to <CMC to show the CMC MENU.
(c)
If <RETURN shows after you push the LSK, push the LSK that is adjacent to <RETURN until you see the CMC MENU.
(d)
Push the LSK that is adjacent to <GROUND TESTS to show the GROUND TESTS menu.
(e)
Push the NEXT PAGE key until you find <32 BRAKE CONTROL.
(f)
Push the LSK that is adjacent to <32 BRAKE CONTROL to show the GROUND TESTS menu for the brake control system.
NOTE: If INHIBITED show above <BRAKE SYSTEM BITE, the test
____
will not operate.
(g) If INHIBITED shows above <BRAKE SYSTEM BITE: 1) Push the LSK that is adjacent to the test prompt. 2) Do the steps shown on the CDU. 3) Push the LSK that is adjacent to <RETURN until the ground
test menu shows. 4) If the INHIBITED indication continues, do the fault isolation procedure in FIM 32-42-00 FIG. 104.
F. Brake System Bite Test

Push the LSK that is adjacent to <BRAKE SYSTEM BITE.
(a)
When the TEST PRECONDITION page shows, make sure each instruction on the page is completed, (Push the NEXT PAGE key to see the subsequent pages).

(b) Push the LSK that is adjacent to <START TEST.

(c) Do these steps to correct configuration errors if they show on the CDU:
NOTE: These indications show if there are errors in the
____ configuration of the airplane which affect the ground test.
1) Make the change indicated by the CDU screen or do fault isolation for the configuration error with FIM 32-42-00/101, Fig. 104 (Table 101).
2) Push the LSK adjacent to <REPEAT to make sure the configuraton error is corrected.
3) Repeat the above steps until there are no configuration errors indicated by the CDU during the start of the Brake System BITE Test.
(d)
Make sure the AUTOBRAKES selector switch moves to the DISARM position when the test is complete.
(e)
Push the LSK that is adjacent to <RETURN until the GROUND TESTS menu shows.

(2) When IN PROGRESS goes out of view, look for PASS or FAIL> adjacent to <BRAKE SYSTEM BITE.
NOTE: If a PASS indication shows, no failures occured during

the test.
(a) If FAIL> shows, do the steps that follow to find the corrective action for the failure: 1) Push the LSK that is adjacent to <FAIL to see the GROUND
TEST MSG pages for the failure. 2) Push the NEXT PAGE key until you find all the GROUND TEST MSG pages. 3) Make a list of all CMCS messages, CMCS message numbers, and ATA numbers that show on the GROUND TEST MSG pages. 4) Go to the CMCS Message Index of the Fault Isolation Manual (FIM) to find the corrective action for each CMCS message.
