(6) Deflate the tire with a tire deflation tool.

WARNING: DO NOT APPLY TOO MUCH FORCE TO THE VALVE STEM WHEN YOU DEFLATE
_______ THE TIRE. TOO MUCH FORCE CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE VALVE CORE. KEEP PERSONS AWAY FROM THE VALVE DURING THE VALVE ASSEMBLY REMOVAL. THE VALVE ASSEMBLY CAN BLOW OFF ACCIDENTALLY AND CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS.

If you think there is damage to the valve core, such that you cannot deflate the tire with a deflation tool, do these steps:
(a)
Slowly turn the valve assembly counterclockwise to loosen the valve assembly, until gas starts to leak through the boss.
(b)
At the same time, push in lightly on the valve stem.
(c)
Do not try to remove the valve assembly until you remove all the pressure from the tire.

Remove the tire inflation valve with these steps:
(a)
Turn the valve counterclockwise until you can pull it from the wheel.

(1)
Install the inflation valve with these steps:
(a)
Install the grommet on the tire valve assembly.
(b)
Install the valve through the opening of the outer-wheel-half wed, into the threaded port of the inner-wheel-half.
NOTE: To prevent leaks, make sure the grommet is seated in the
____
hole.
(c)
Tighten the inflation valve to 175 pound-inches dry torque.
(d)
Install a lockwire.
(2)
Inflate the tire to the correct pressure (AMM 12-15-06/301).
(3)
Make sure there is no leakage through the inflation valve.
(4)
Lower the wheels and remove the jacks (AMM 07-11-03/201).
