BRAKE ROD - INSPECTION/CHECK

1. General_______
A. This procedure contains steps to do the inspection of the brake rod. The brake rod inspection measures the fit of the inner cylinder yoke connection bolt and bushings and the brake torque arm connection bolts and bushings.

Examine the Brake Rod (Fig. 601)

(1)
Remove the brake rod and the bolts from the airplane (AMM 32-42-20/401).

(2)
Examine the brake rod bushings, the inner cylinder connection bolt, and the brake torque arm connection bolt for worn areas.
(a)
Measure the parts if it is necessary and compare the measured dimensions to the limit dimensions.
(b)
If the part is not in the limit dimensions, repair or replace the part as shown.
(3)
Install the brake rod and the connection bolts (AMM 32-42-20/401).
