(g) If INHIBITED shows above <BRAKE RELEASE: 1) Push the LSK that is adjacent to the test prompt. 2) Do the steps shown on the CDU. 3) Push the LSK that is adjacent to <RETURN to show the ground
tests menu again.
G. Brake Release Ground Test

Push the LSK that is adjacent to <BRAKE RELEASE.

Push the START TEST> LSK after the instructions of the TEST PRECONDITIONS screens are complete. The CDU will then show the first of three menus for the Brake Release Test.

Do these steps to complete the Brake Release Test at each of the sixteen wheel locations:
(a)
Look at the pressure gage at a brake to monitor the pressure at the brake.
(b)
Push the LSK related to this brake, to start the Brake Release Test for this brake.
(c)
The results of the test are satisfactory if the pressure at the brake during the test is as follows: 1) The pressure at the brake at the start of the test is equal
to system pressure (|200 psig).

2) The pressure at the brake decreases to 200 psig or less for approximately 6 seconds.
NOTE: At this time, the CDU will show the message VERIFY
____ BRAKE NUMBER X IS RELEASED (X is equal to 1 thru 16 as applicable).
3) The pressure at the brake increases again to system pressure (|200 psig), and stays at this value.
H. Put the Airplane Back to Its Usual Condition

(1) Remove pressure from the brakes:
NOTE: If you manually supplied pressure during the test,
____ release the brake pedals to remove pressure from the brakes.
(a)
Release the parking brake.
(b)
Close this circuit breaker on the P6 panel:
1) 6L18, PARK BRAKE

Push the LSK that is adjacent to <RETURN until the GROUND TESTS menu shows.

Make sure that DONE shows adjacent to <BRAKE RELEASE.

Remove power from hydraulic systems No. 1, 2 and 4

Remove the pressure gage and install a brake bleeder assembly at each brake unit (16 locations):
(a)
Make sure that the parking brake is released.

(b) Make sure that the brakes are not operated manually.
WARNING:_______ THE BRAKES MUST NOT BE IN OPERATION WHEN YOU CONNECT OR
DISCONNECT THE TWO PARTS OF A HYDRAULIC BRAKE DISCONNECT.
IF YOU TRY TO CONNECT OR DISCONNECT A HYDRAULIC BRAKE
DISCONNECT WITH THE BRAKE IN OPERATION, HYDRAULIC FLUID
UNDER HIGH PRESSURE CAN RELEASE. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO
PERSONNEL AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(c)
To remove all pressure from the brake, disconnect the hose half of the hydraulic brake disconnect from the brake half.
(d)
Remove the pressure gage from the brake unit housing.
(e)
Do these steps to install a brake bleeder assembly on the brake unit housing:
NOTE: Each brake bleeder assembly has a bleeder valve
____ installed in an adapter. The adapter is installed in the brake unit housing.
CAUTION: TIGHTEN THE ADAPTER TO 90-110 POUND-INCHES.
