A. You must use the engine generator or the APU generator to do the EMDP Test. You can not do the EMDP test when you use external ground power.

(1) Supply electrical power from the engine or APU (Ref 24-22-00/201).

CAUTION: DO NOT OPERATE SYSTEM A OR B EMDP MORE THAN 2 MINUTES IF NO. 1
_______ OR NO. 2 FUEL TANK (RESPECTIVELY) CONTAINS LESS THAN 250 GALLONS (1675 LBS/760 KG) OF FUEL. YOU MUST LET THE RESERVOIR TEMPERATURE DECREASE TO AMBIENT TEMPERATURE BEFORE YOU OPERATE THE PUMP AGAIN. DAMAGE TO THE EQUIPMENT CAN OCCUR.

Set the HYD PUMPS A ELEC 2 and the HYD PUMPS B ELEC 1 switches, on the P5 panel, to the ON position.

Set the HYD PUMPS A ENG 1 and the HYD PUMPS B ENG 2 switches, on the P5 panel, to the OFF position (if the engines are in operation).

Set the FLT CONTROL and the SPOILER systems A and B switches, on the P5 panel, to the OFF position.

Make sure the pressure of each electric pump is 2925-3100 psig.
