 (1)
Release pressure from the applicable reservoir (AMM 29-09-00/201).

 S 036-003

 (2)
Open the drain valve on the bottom of the reservoir.

 (3)
Drain the fluid into a container.

 (4)
Close the drain valve.

 (5)

 (7)  Slowly fill the applicable hydraulic reservoir with the fluid quantity specified below (AMM 12-12-00/301):
NOTE: The fluid quantities are correct only if all supply and
____
return lines to the reservoir are full.

 (a)
The fluid quantity must be 4.8 U.S. GAL (4.0 IMP. GAL) for system A.

 (b)
The fluid quantity must be 7.2 U.S. GAL (6.0 IMP. GAL) for system B.

 S 216-010
 (8)  Make sure the transmitter indicator and the cockpit indicator show increasing fluid level as you fill the reservoir.
 (a)  If the indicators do not show increasing fluid level, replace the transmitter and/or the cockpit indicator (AMM 29-33-12/401).
 S 216-009
 (9)  Make sure the indicators on the transmitters show full when the reservoirs are filled to within | 0.5 U.S. gallon of the nominally full quantities given in step (7).
 (a)
When the indicators on the reservoir transmitters show full, make sure that the cockpit indicators show approximately full (100% on EIS indication gauges or F on analog indication gauges).

 (b)
If the transmitters and/or the cockpit indicators fail to meet these requirements, replace the discrepant unit(s) (AMM 29-33-12/401).

 (c)
If the indicator(s) show zero, do the trouble shooting for the hydraulic fluid quantity indicating system (AMM 29-33-01/101).
