D. Do a Check on the Low Pressure Switch

Supply electrical power (AMM 24-22-00/201).

Make sure the applicable LOW PRESSURE light (ELEC 1 or ELEC 2), on the P5 panel, is on.

CAUTION: DO NOT OPERATE THE SYSTEM A OR B HYDRAULIC PUMPS FOR MORE THAN
_______ TWO MINUTES WITHOUT FUEL IN THE FUEL TANKS. THE NO. 1 (FOR SYSTEM A) AND NO. 2 (FOR SYSTEM B) FUEL TANKS MUST HAVE A MINIMUM OF 250 GALLONS (1675 POUNDS/760 KILOGRAMS) OF FUEL IN THEM. IF THERE IS NOT SUFFICIENT FUEL IN THE FUEL TANKS, THE HYDRAULIC SYSTEMS WILL BECOME TOO HOT.
(3) Put the applicable ELEC (1 or 2) HYD PUMPS switch to the ON position.
(a) Make sure the applicable LOW PRESSURE (ELEC 1 or ELEC 2) light goes off.

Put the applicable ELEC (1 or 2) HYD PUMPS switch to the OFF position.
(a) Make sure the applicable LOW PRESSURE light (ELEC 1 or ELEC 2) comes on.
(5)
Examine the applicable low pressure switch for leaks.
(6)
Remove electrical power (AMM 24-22-00/201).

(1) Open these circuit breakers and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:

P6-11 Circuit Breaker Panel
1) STBY HYD PUMP NORMAL
(c)
P6-12 Circuit Breaker Panel
1) STBY HYD PUMP (ALT)

Remove the electrical connector from the low pressure switch.

Remove the low pressure switch from the standby system pressure module.
(a)
Discard the O-rings.
(b)
Install a plug in the open port of the pressure module.
