Apply assembly lube or hydraulic fluid to the backup ring, O-ring, and the backup ring in the filter head groove.

Install the backup ring, O-ring, and backup ring in the filter head groove.

Apply assembly lube or hydraulic fluid to the O-ring.

Install the O-ring in the filter element groove.

Install the filter element in the filter bowl.

Apply assembly lube or hydraulic fluid to the threads of the filter bowl.

Install the filter bowl into the filter head.

Tighten the filter bowl to 96-120 pound-inches.

If it is necessary, install the case drain filter (AMM 29-15-91/201).
