ports in first.
S 424-020
(6)
Put the heat exchanger in its position with the inlet and outlet fittings in the holes in the rear spar.
S 434-016
(7)
Install new O-rings on the hydraulic fittings for the heat exchanger.
NOTE:____Make sure the O-rings are correctly installed. Apply assembly lube or hydraulic fluid to the O- rings and the hydraulic fittings. This will make the installation easier.
S 434-021
(8)
Install one phenolic washer (BACW10P361LA, 0.020 inch thick) at each mounting point of the heat exchanger.
(9)

(10) At the rear spar, install bulkhead nuts and washers.
(a) Tighten the bulkhead nuts and install lockwire.
S 214-024
(11) Measure the clearance at each mounting point, between the phenolic washer and the heat exchanger. If the clearance is more than 0.010 inch, do these steps:
(a)
Remove the phenolic washer.
(b)
Measure the clearance with no washers in it.
(c)
Install the number of washers shown in the table that follows.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------| CLEARANCE WITH NO WASHERS - INCHES | TOTAL NUMBER OF WASHERS NECESSARY | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------| | 0.093 - 0.074 | 1 - BACW10P361LA | | | 1 - BACW10P168L | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------| 0.073 - 0.052 | 1 - BACW10P168L | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------| 0.051 - 0.031 | 2 - BACW10P361LA | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
