(b) Make sure the hydraulic pressure in system A does not increase.
NOTE: If the PTU operates or the pressure in system A
____ increases then the check valve in the system B pressure line of the PTU is broken. Replace these parts:

The PTU (AMM 29-22-11/401) (It can have damage that you cannot find)
-
The PTU check valve
-
The PTU pressure filter element (AMM 29-22-21/201).
F. Put the Airplane Back to Its Usual Condition

Move the flap control lever to the UP position to retract the flaps and slats.

A. There are two tasks in this procedure. There is a task for the removal and a task for the installation of the power transfer unit (PTU).

Remove the systems A and B hydraulic power (AMM 29-15-00/201).

Open these circuit breakers and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:
(a) P6 Panel
1) ELEC HYD PUMP CONT SYS A
2) ELEC HYD PUMP CONT SYS B
3) STBY HYD PUMP NORMAL
4) STBY HYD PUMP (ALTERNATE)
5) PTU/LG BYP V CONT 1
6) PTU/LG BYP V CONT 2

Release the pressure in the hydraulic reservoirs (AMM 29-09-00/201).

Fully drain the system B reservoir.

(1) Disconnect the hydraulic lines from the PTU:
(a) Put a container below the hydraulic lines to catch the hydraulic fluid.
