Disconnect the hydraulic lines from the PTU.
(c)
Install caps on the hydraulic lines.

Remove the bolts that attach the PTU.
(b)
Remove the PTU.

Discard the O-rings.
(b)
Install the plugs in the hydraulic ports.

C. Procedure
S 434-011
(1) Install the hydraulic fittings in the PTU:
(a)
Remove the plugs from the hydraulic ports in the PTU.
(b)
Apply hydraulic fluid or skydrol assembly lube to the O-rings.
(c)
Install the O-rings and reducers in the PTU.
(d)
Install the O-ring and the check valve in the pressure outlet port of the PTU pump.
(e)
Install the reducer in the outlet port of the PTU.

(2) Fill the PTU (motor and pump) with hydraulic fluid until it is approximately one-half full.

(3) S 424-013Install the PTU:
CAUTION:_______ INSTALL THE PTU WITH THE MOTOR ON THE LEFT SIDE OF THE AIRPLANE. THE SYSTEM WILL NOT OPERATE IF YOU INSTALL IT INCORRECTLY.
(a) (b) (c) Put the PTU in its position in the airplane with the pump on the right side.Install the bolts to attach the PTU.Connect the hydraulic lines to the PTU.
(4) S 614-014Fill the system B hydraulic reservoir (AMM 12-12-00/301).
(5) S 864-015Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags and close these circuit breakers: (a) P6 Panel 1) ELEC HYD PUMP CONT SYS A 2) ELEC HYD PUMP CONT SYS B 3) STBY HYD PUMP NORMAL 4) STBY HYD PUMP (ALTERNATE) 5) PTU/LG BYP V CONT 1 6) PTU/LG BYP V CONT 2
