Remove the system B hydraulic power (Ref 29-15-00/201).

Make sure these switches on the P5 panel are OFF:
(a)
HYD PUMPS B ENG 2
(b)
HYD PUMPS B ELEC 1
(c)
FLT CONTROL B
(d)
ALTERNATE FLAPS

Release the pressure in the system B hydraulic reservoir (Ref 29-09-00/201).

Remove the PTU pressure filter element (Fig. 201):
(a)
Get access to the filter in the wheel well.
(b)
Put a container below the filter to catch the hydraulic fluid.
(c)
Remove the filter bowl and the filter element from the filter head.
(d)
Remove and discard the filter element.

(5)
Examine the filter element and the bowl for metal contamination.
(a) If you find too much contamination, replace the PTU and flush the system B hydraulic lines.
(6)
Clean the filter bowl.

(1)
Make sure the filter bowl is clean.

(2)
Install the filter element (Fig. 201):
(a)
Apply hydraulic fluid or assembly lube to the backup rings and the O-rings.
(b)
Install the O-rings and the backup rings in the filter head and the filter element.
(c)
Install the filter element in the filter bowl.
(d)
Apply hydraulic fluid or assembly lube to the threads of the filter bowl.
(e)
Install the filter bowl on the filter head.
(f)
Tighten the filter bowl to 25 |5 pound-feet.

(3) Do the operational test of the PTU pressure filter module.
