(c) To use the amp-clamp and multimeter procedure, you put the amp-clamp adapter around one of the wires connected to a circuit breaker for the standby EMDP. You then read the current on the multimeter (that is connected to the amp-clamp adapter) and use Figure 609 to get the flow. One person can do this procedure from the Control Cabin.
NOTE: You can also use one of the three load wires connected
____ to standby hydraulic pump relay, R68, to put the amp-clamp adapter around.
B. Standard Tools and Equipment
(1)
AC Ammeter - Amp ranges 0-25 and 0-50 with a short circuit selector switch. The switch contacts should be the make-before-break type to prevent arcing during mode selection. The meter scales shall permit accurate reading to the nearest 0.10 amp on the 0-25 scale.
