 10. Put the Airplane Back to Its Usual Condition

 NOTE: Do this procedure if you did the Internal Leak Check, Procedure 2, 3,
____ 4A, 4B or 5. You can go to the next Put the Airplane Back to Its Usual Condition procedure if you only did Procedure 1.

 (1)  Open the No. 1 through No. 6 isolation valves in the tail compartment (Fig. 604).
 (a) Install the locking bar on the isolation valves.

 (2) Do these steps to make sure the isolation valves are open:
 WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE CLEAR OF ALL
_______ CONTROL SURFACES. THE AILERONS, RUDDER, ELEVATOR, FLAPS, SLATS, SPOILERS, LANDING GEAR, AND THRUST REVERSERS CAN MOVE QUICKLY. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
 (a)  
Supply hydraulic power to systems A and B (AMM 29-15-00/201).

 (b)  
For the No. 4 isolation valve:
 1) Retract the flaps to zero.

 

 NOTE: The flaps must be fully retracted for the FEEL DIFF
____ PRESS light to come on.
 2) Put the FLIGHT CONTROL A switch in the OFF position. 3) Put the FLIGHT CONTROL B switch in the ON position. a) Make sure the FEEL DIFF PRESS light (on the P5 panel) comes on.
 (c)  For the No. 6 isolation valve: 1) Keep the FLIGHT CONTROL A switch off.

 2)  Move the FLIGHT CONTROLS B switch between ON and OFF and operate the control column. Make sure more force is necessary to move the control column when the switch is off.
 NOTE: If the isolation valve is open, you will have to use
____ approximately 25 pounds of force to move the control column to full travel. If the isolation valve is closed, you will have to use approximately 60 pounds of force.
For the No. 5 isolation valve:
 1)  Keep the FLIGHT CONTROL A switch off.
 2)  Move the FLIGHT CONTROLS B switch between ON and OFF and operate the rudder pedals. Make sure more force is necessary to operate the rudder pedals when the switch is off.
 NOTE: If the isolation valve is open, you will have to use
____ approximately 60 pounds of force to move the rudder pedals to full travel. If the isolation valve is closed, you will have to use approximately 160 pounds of force.
For the No. 1 isolation valve:
 1) Put the FLIGHT CONTROL B switch in the ON position.

 NOTE: The FEEL DIFF PRESS light must be on.

 2) Put the FLIGHT CONTROL A switch in the ON position. a) Make sure the FEEL DIFF PRESS light (on the P5 panel) goes out.
For the No. 3 isolation valve:
 1)  Put the FLIGHT CONTROL B switch in the OFF position.
 2)  Move the FLIGHT CONTROLS A switch between ON and OFF and operate the control column. Make sure more force is necessary to move the control column when the switch is off.
 NOTE: If the isolation valve is open, you will have to use
