 (2)  Supply electrical power (Ref 24-22-00/201).

 WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE CLEAR OF ALL CONTROL
_______ SURFACES BEFORE YOU SUPPLY HYDRAULIC POWER. THE AILERONS, RUDDER, ELEVATORS, FLAPS, SLATS, SPOILERS, LANDING GEAR, AND THRUST REVERSERS CAN MOVE QUICKLY WHEN YOU SUPPLY HYDRAULIC POWER. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
 (3)  Supply hydraulic power to system B (Ref 29-15-00/201).
 (a)  Set the flap control lever in the one unit position.

 (4)  
Remove hydraulic power from system B (Ref 29-15-00/201).

 (5)  
Put the FLT CONTROL A, the FLT CONTROL B, and the arm switch for the ALTERNATE FLAPS (on the P5 panel) in the OFF position.

 (6)  
Disconnect the standby EMDP pressure line at the self-sealing disconnect.

 (7)  
Connect the pressure line of the hydraulic service cart to the pressure line on the airplane.


 NOTE: Do not connect the hydraulic service cart to the flexible

 line from the standby EMDP.

 (8)  Disconnect the supply line for the standby EMDP at the
 quick-disconnect fitting below the standby reservoir.

 CAUTION: MAKE SURE THE DISCONNECT POPPET IS STRAIGHT BEFORE YOU INSTALL
_______ THE HOSE HALF OF THE SELF-SEAL DISCONNECT. IF TOO MUCH TORQUE IS NECESSARY TO DO THE INSTALLATION, DISCONNECT THE SELF-SEAL DISCONNECT AND AGAIN MAKE SURE THE POPPET IS STRAIGHT. AFTER THE INSTALLATION, MAKE SURE THE INDICATOR PINS EXTEND A MINIMUM OF 0.06 INCH. IF THE INDICATOR PINS ARE NOT CORRECTLY EXTENDED, FLUID FLOW WILL BE DECREASED OR STOPPED. THIS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE RESERVOIR OR THE PUMP.
 (9)  
Connect the return line of the hydraulic service cart to the quick-disconnect fitting on the bottom of the standby reservoir.

 (10)
 Disconnect the electrical connector from the standby EMDP.


 E. Procedure
 S 735-111
 (1) Put the arm switch for the ALTERNATE FLAPS in the ARM position.
 (a)  Make sure the STANDBY HYD LOW PRESSURE light (on the P5 panel) is on.
 S 735-112
 WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE CLEAR OF THE RUDDER,
_______ THRUST REVERSERS, AND LEADING EDGE SLATS. THEY CAN MOVE QUICKLY WHEN YOU SUPPLY STANDBY HYDRAULIC POWER.
 (2)  Slowly increase the pressure from the hydraulic service cart to 3000 psi.
 (a)  Make sure the STANDBY HYD LOW PRESSURE light goes out when the pressure is between 1100 and 1600 psig.
 S 735-113
 (3)  
Slowly decrease the pressure from the hydraulic service cart.

 (a)  Make sure the STANDBY HYD LOW PRESSURE light comes on between 1500 and 1000 psig.

 (4)  
Release all the pressure from the standby system.

 NOTE: It can be necessary to operate the rudder to remove pressure
____
 from the standby system.
