CAUTION: DO NOT REMOVE OR INSTALL THE OVERHEAT SWITCHES WITH THE
_______ ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS ATTACHED TO THE SWITCH. YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE SWITCH OR THE CONNECTOR.
(1)
Disconnect the electrical connectors from the overheat switches in the case drain lines from the EMDPs.

Remove the overheat switches from the case drain lines
(AMM 29-32-12/401).
(a) Put plugs in the case drain line.
(3)
Connect the electrical connectors to the overheat switches.

(5) Slowly increase the temperature of the two overheat switches to 215
- 235-F at a rate of 5 degrees per minute (| 1 degree per minute).
NOTE: Use a Tempcal thermal switch testor or equivalent to supply____
the heat.
(a) Make sure the OVERHEAT lights (ELEC 1 and ELEC 2) come on.

(6) Slowly decrease the temperature of the two overheat switches to
165-185-F at a rate of 5 degrees per minute (| 1 degree per minute).
(a) Make sure the OVERHEAT lights (ELEC 1 and ELEC 2) go off.

(7) Open these circuit breakers and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:
(a) P6-3 Panel
1) INDICATOR MASTER DIM BUS SECT 5

(9) Install the overheat switch in the case drain line

1. General
_______
A. There are two tasks in this procedure. There is a task for the removal and a task for the installation of the hydraulic fluid overheat warning switch.
B. The overheat switches are installed in systems A and B EMDP case drain lines. You can find these overheat switches directly below the pump, on the forward wheel well bulkhead.
