_______ THE NOSE GEAR WHEN HYDRAULIC POWER IS SUPPLIED. THE AILERONS, ELEVATORS, RUDDER, FLAPS, SLATS, SPOILERS, STABILIZER , AND THE NOSE GEAR ARE SUPPLIED WITH POWER BY THE HYDRAULIC SYSTEMS. INJURIES TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT CAN OCCUR WHEN HYDRAULIC POWER IS SUPPLIED.
CAUTION: DO NOT OPERATE THE EDP FOR MORE THAN 2 MINUTES UNLESS THE
_______ APPLICABLE FUEL TANK HAS A MINIMUM OF 1750 LBS (794 KG) OF FUEL IN IT. IF YOU OPERATE THE EDP FOR 2 MINUTES WITHOUT FUEL IN THE TANK, LET THE RESERVOIR GO BACK TO AMBIENT TEMPERATURE BEFORE YOU CONTINUE WITH THE TEST. IF YOU CONTINUE TO OPERATE THE EDP THE HYDRAULIC FLUID CAN GET TOO HOT.
(3) Put the applicable system pump switch on the P5 panel in the ON position.

Motor or operate the applicable engine to keep the hydraulic system pressurized (AMM 71-00-00/201).

Make sure the hydraulic pressure becomes stable between 2900 and 3200 psig.
H. Pressurize the Standby Hydraulic System

Supply electrical power (AMM 24-22-00/201).

Close these circuit breakers:
(a) P6 panel, 1) STBY HYD PUMP NORMAL 2) STBY HYD PUMP (ALT) 3) FLIGHT CONTROL SHUT-OFF VALVES BAT STDBY RUDDER

(3) Put one of these switches, on the P5 panel, in this position:
(a)
FLT CONTROL A to the STDBY RUDDER position.
(b)
FLT CONTROL B to the STDBY RUDDER position.
(c)
ALTERNATE FLAPS to the ARM position.

3. Remove Power from the A, B, or Standby Hydraulic System_______________________________________________________
A. General
(1)
You must wait 5 to 10 minutes after you remove power from the hydraulic system for the pressure in the system to bleed down.
(2)
Remove the pressure from the reservoir if you will open a hydraulic line (AMM 29-09-00/201).
