E. Standby Pressure Module Filter Installation Test
S 862-045
(1) Do these steps to pressurize the standby system:
(a)
Supply electrical power (Ref 24-22-00/201).
(b)
Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags and close these circuit breakers: 1) P6-2 Circuit Breaker Panel a) FLIGHT CONTROL SHUTOFF VALVES STBY RUD 2) P6-11 Circuit Breaker Panel a) STBY HYD PUMP NORMAL
3) P6-12 Circuit Breaker Panel a) STBY HYD PUMP (ALT)
WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE CLEAR OF THE
_______ RUDDER AND THE LEADING EDGE FLAPS AND SLATS BEFORE PRESSURIZATION. THE RUDDER AND THE LEADING EDGE FLAPS AND SLATS CAN MOVE QUICKLY. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(c) Put the FLT CONTROL A switch or FLIGHT CONTROL B switch to STDBY RUD.

Examine the filter for leaks.

Slowly operate the rudder to full travel.

Put the FLT CONTROL switch to ON.

Do the servicing for the hydraulic reservoirs (Ref 12-12-00/301).

Remove electrical power (Ref 24-22-00/201).

C. Procedure

(1) Open these circuit breakers panel and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:
(a)
P6-11 Circuit Breaker Panel
1) STBY HYD PUMP NORMAL
(b)
P6-12 Circuit Breaker Panel
1) STBY HYD PUMP (ALT)

Release pressure from the system B and the standby hydraulic reservoirs (Ref 29-09-00/201).

Remove the relief valve from the module.

Install the plug in the open port of the module.

Install the O-rings with the backup rings in each groove of the relief valve.

Apply assembly lube or hydraulic fluid to the O-rings and the threads of the relief valve.
(3)
Remove the plug.
(4)
Install the relief valve into the module housing.

(5) S 432-040Tighten the relief valve to 50-200 pound-inches.
(6) S 862-054Pressurize the system B and the standby hydraulic reservoirs (Ref 29-09-00/201).
