Drain the hydraulic fluid into a container.

 (1) Apply assembly lube or hydraulic fluid to the union and O-rings.

 CAUTION: MAKE SURE YOU INSTALL THE CHECK VALVE IN THE "OUT" PORT , AND
_______ THE ARROW ON THE CHECK VALVE MATCHES THE ARROW ON THE FILTER HEAD. FAILURE TO DO THIS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE EDP.
 (2)  Install the union, check valve and O-rings in the case drain filter ports.

Put the case drain filter on the mounting bracket.

Install the bolts.

Remove the caps from the hydraulic lines.

Connect the hydraulic lines to the case drain filter.

Motor the engine-driven hydraulic pump (AMM 71-00-00/201).

 EDP SUPPLY SHUTOFF VALVE - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

 1.  General_______
 A.  Supply shutoff valves for the hydraulic fluid are installed in the supply lines to each engine-driven pump (EDP). The supply shutoff valves (referred to as the valves) are mounted in the rear spar area immediately outboard of the wheel wells. A container of about 4.5-gallon capacity will be necessary to catch fluid when removing the valve.
