 5.  Depressurization Valve
______________________
 A.  A manually controlled depressurization (vent) valve for each A and B system is located between the reservoir and the reservoir pressurization module. A valve lock can be installed over a maintenance period, requiring removal to return the system to operational (pressurized) status. The standby reservoir pressure is transmitted through the balance line from the system B reservoir.
 6.  Pressure Gage

 A.  A pressure gage calibrated in pounds per square inch is located to be easily seen between each depressurization (vent) valve and reservoir. The gage supports ground maintenance activities.

 HYDRAULIC RESERVOIR PRESSURIZATION SYSTEM - MAINTENANCE PRACTICES

 1.  General
_______
 A.  This procedure tells you how to pressurize the hydraulic reservoirs with an external air source. It also tells you how to remove pressure from the hydraulic reservoirs.
 B.  The pressurization system for the hydraulic reservoirs supplies pressure to all hydraulic system reservoirs when the pneumatic manifold is pressurized. Bleed air from one or two engines and the APU pressurizes the pneumatic manifold. External air supplied through the ground service connector can also pressurize the pneumatic manifold.
 C.  You pressurize and release the pressure from the system B and standby reservoirs together. A balance line between the two reservoirs permits this. You can pressurize or release the pressure from the system A reservoir independently.
