AILERONS - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General
_______
A. There are two tasks in this procedure. There is one task for the removal and one task for the installation of the ailerons.
B. The aileron assembly has the aileron, balance tab, and balance panel.
C. It is not necessary to use a new balance tab and balance panel for the replacement of a spare aileron. It is necessary to use the same number of the adjust weights for the balance tab as on the tab data plate.
D. The graphite/composite ailerons and the aluminum/fiberglass ailerons are interchangeable only as pairs of the same type. An aluminum/fiberglass aileron on one wing with a graphite/composite aileron on the opposite wing is not a permitted configuration.
