 ú  (c) Remove the nuts, washers, bushings and bolts to disconnect the
 ú  reaction links (top and bottom) from the reaction support
 ú  assemblies (top and bottom).
 (d) Remove the nuts, washers, and bolts to disconnect the two input
 rods from the lever assemblies.
 (e) Remove the nuts, washers, and bolts to disconnect the control
 quadrant shaft from the power control shaft.
 (f) Remove the nuts, washers, and bolts to disconnect the autopilot
 aileron position sensor rod and autopilot actuator rod from the
 input lever of the power control shaft.
 (g) Remove the nuts, washers and bolts to disconnect the top and
 ú  bottom reaction support assemblies from the bulkhead
 ú  (structure).
 ú  (h) Disconnect the electrical connector from the trim actuator.
 (i) Carefully move the centering and trim mechanism down to
 disengage it from the power control shaft.
 (j) Remove the centering and trim mechanism.
 (k) Remove the cotter pin, nut, washer, and bolt to disconnect the
 control rod of the trim mechanism from the centering spring.

Install the Aileron Artificial Feel, Centering and Trim Mechanism

 (1)  
Do this task: "Aileron Artificial Feel, Centering and Trim Mechanism Inspection/Check" (Ref 27-11-81/601).

 (2)  
Install the centering and trim mechanism (Fig. 401):

 (a)  
Attach the control rod to the centering and trim mechanism with the bolt, washer, nut, and cotter pin. 1) Make sure the cotter pin does not extend more than the end

 of the bolt. 2) Do a check for clearance between the bottom of the bolt and the support fitting.

 (b)  
Put the centering and trim mechanism in its position to engage the power control shaft.

 (c)  
Install the bolts to attach the control quadrant shaft to the power control shaft.


 NOTE: If the power control shaft does not contain bolt holes,
____ drill holes 0.250 +0.004/-0.000 inch diameter in power control shaft using holes in quadrant shaft as a guide.
 (d)  
Tighten the nuts to 30-35 pound-inches.

 (e)
Install the bolts, washers and nuts to attach the top and ú bottom reaction support assemblies to the bulkhead (structure).

 (f)  
Install the bolt assemblies, washers, and nuts to connect the top and bottom input rods to the lever assemblies.

 (g)  
Tighten the large nuts to 65-90 pound-inches.
