AILERON POWER CONTROL UNIT - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General_______
A. There are two tasks in this procedure. There is one task for the removal and one task for the installation of the power control unit of the aileron.
B. The two power control units supply hydraulic power to the ailerons. The power control unit at the bottom is connected to hydraulic system A. The power control unit at the top is connected to hydraulic system B.

(1)
Do this task to depressurize hydraulic systems A and B: "Aileron Hydraulic Systems A and B Depressurization" (AMM 27-11-00/201).

(2)
Disconnect the hydraulic hoses at the inlet and outlet ports of the power control unit.
(3)
Install plugs in the hydraulic hoses.
(4)
Disconnect the electrical connector, if it is installed.

Remove the protective boot with the steps that follow (Detail D, Fig./401):
(a)
Remove the two straps from the inboard end of the boot and one strap from the outboard end of the boot.
