Pressurize hydraulic system B (AMM 27-51-00/201).

Put the flap control lever to the 40-unit detent.

Release the pressure from hydraulic system B (AMM 27-51-00/201).

Measure the clearance between the midflap to the aftflap at the inboard and outboard ends of the aftflap on the left and right wings (Fig. 504).
(a)
Make sure the inboard clearances on each wing are equal to a limit of 0.05 inch.
(b)
Make sure the outboard clearances on each wing are equal to a limit of 0.05 inch.
(c)
Adjust the clearances if it is necessary: 1) Adjust the clevis arm on the aftflap bellcrank (not the aftflap pushrod) at the two flap track fairings. 2) Make sure the dimension B at the two flap tracks stays in
the specified limits (Fig. 504). 3) Pressurize the hydraulic system B (AMM 27-51-00/201). 4) Put the flap control lever to the FLAP UP detent to retract
the flaps. 5) Release the pressure from hydraulic system B (AMM 27-51-00/201).
6) Make sure the distance between the aftflap leading edge to
the midflap trailing edge is as specified (Fig. 504).
7) If it is necessary, adjust the aftflap pushrods at the two
flap track fairings to get the correct clearance. 8) Move the flap control lever to the 40-unit detent. 9) Make sure the distances between the midflap to the aftflap. 10) Make sure the dimension B stays the same.

(5) Move the flap control lever to the FLAP UP detent.

6. Aileron Balance Tab Adjustment to Equalize Lateral Manual Reversion Forces__________________________________________________________________________
A. General
(1)
If the difference in the lateral manual reversion forces is more than the permitted 2 to 1 ratio, use this procedure to adjust the aileron balance tab.
