 EQUIPMENT CAN OCCUR.
 a) Remove the rig pin A/S-4.
 b) Loosen the two locknuts on the valve rod for the power
 control unit at the top.
 c) Turn the adjustable sleeve until you can easily install
 the rig pin A/S-4.
 (p)  Set the FLT CONTROL A switch to ON.
 (q)  Make sure the rig pin A/S-4 moves freely through the top and
 the bottom bus drums.
 (r)  Make sure the distances between the lug of the top bus drum and
 the stop bolts on the bottom bus drum are as specified
 (Fig. 505).
 (s)  If it is necessary, adjust the valve rods and the stop bolts.
 (t)  Release the pressure from hydraulic systems A and B (AMM
 27-11-00/201).
 (u)  Tighten the valve rod locknuts.
 (v)  Install the lockwire.

 (w)  
Tighten the stop bolt locknuts.

 (x)  
Install the lockwire.

 (y)  
Remove the rig pins A/S-4 and A/S-15.

Adjust the aileron control bus cables ABSA and ABSB:

 (a)  
Install the rig pin A/S-4 (Fig. 504).

 (b)  
Make sure that the left and right ailerons are 0.03 inch or less from the neutral position (Fig. 506).

 (c)  
Make sure that the tension of cables ABSA and ABSB on the left and right wings is as specified (Fig. 501). 1) Adjust the cables if the tension and/or the aileron neutral


 position is out of tolerance:
 a) Adjust the turnbuckles for each bus cable to put the

 ailerons to the specified neutral position. b) Adjust the cables to the specified tension (Fig. 501). c) Install the turnbuckle clip locks.
 (d)  
Make sure the trailing edge of the outboard aileron is below the wing trailing edge 0.08 to 0.48 inch.

 (e)  
Remove the rig pin A/S-4.

 (7)  Adjust the aileron balance tab:
 NOTE: A flight test is necessary after the adjustment of the

 control rods of the aileron balance tab.

 (a)  Measure the distance from the trailing edge of the aileron balance tab to the extension of the aileron bottom surface.
 NOTE: The index mark on the aileron (Point B) must align with
____ the index mark on the wing (Point A) to 0.03 inch or less when you do this check.
 If the tab trailing edge is above the extension of the aileron bottom surface, write down a plus (+) dimension. If the tab trailing edge is below the extension of the aileron bottom surface, write down a minus (-) dimension.
 1) Use a straightedge or an aileron tab alignment protractor to measure the distance.
