Lubricate the cables AA and AB with grease.

Install the control wheel drum (Fig. 401)g:

 (a)  
Connect the cables AA and AB to the control wheel drum.

 (b)  
Install the cable guards with the screws, washers and nuts.

 (c)  
Put the ends of the cables ACBA and ACBB through the cutouts, and at the same time, put the control wheel drum in its position.

 (d)  
Attach the forward and aft support ribs to the control wheel drum with the bolts (11 places).

 (e)  
Connect the electrical cable of the roll force transducer to the forward support rib and bracket (See D, Fig. 401).

 (f)  
Install the control wheel drum with four bolts, washers and nuts.

 (g)  
Connect the cables ACBA, ACBB, AA, and AB to their turnbuckles.

 (h)  
Tighten the turnbuckles to remove the loose cable but keep the cable tension at zero.

 (i)  
Connect the electrical connector of the roll force transducer.

 (j)  
AIRPLANES WITH THE AILERON FORCE LIMITER; Connect the electrical connector of the aileron force limiter.

 (7)  Install the control cabin air duct: (a) Connect the ducts with a minimum of 1/2-inch overlap at each end.
 (b) (c) (d)  Connect the mounting brackets.Clean around the areas where the ducts connect with the cleaning solvent.While you pull the tape tight and smooth, apply two layers of the tape at the joints.
