(f) Make sure the measured force increase the value of the artificial feel input force by 1.5 to 2.0 pounds or 10 to 13 pound-inches torque.
NOTE: The measured force must not be more than 4.5 pounds or

1) Adjust the centering spring eyebolts if the forces are not in the specified limits:
NOTE: The centering spring forces will increase if you
____ tighten the eyebolt and decrease if you loosen the eyebolts.
a) Adjust the two centering springs equally. b) Equally tighten or loosen the nuts on each eyebolt equally in 1/2-turn increments.
(g)
Do steps (e) and (f) again, if it is necessary, until you get the correct centering spring tension.
(h)
Measure the force necessary to turn the captain's or the first officer's control wheel 75 degrees clockwise from the neutral position. 1) Make sure the force is not more than 123.5 pound-inches
torque or 19.0 pounds.
(i)
Release the control wheel from the 75 degrees clockwise position. 1) Make sure the control wheel goes back to the neutral
position in | 2.4 degrees.
(j)
Do steps (h) and (i) again but in the counterclockwise direction.

Operate the control wheel slowly through full range of the aileron travel.

Make sure the aileron system operates smoothly.

Continue to turn the control wheel 5 degrees clockwise from the neutral position. 1) Make sure the force is not more than 35.5 pound-inches or
