1. General
_______
A. There are four tasks in this procedure. There is a task for the removal and a task for the installation of the spoiler shutoff valve. There are also tasks for the removal and the installation of the spoiler shutoff valve motor.
B. The flight control shutoff valve and the spoiler shutoff valve are parts of the flight control modular package. The spoiler shutoff valve is the valve on the left, and the flight control shutoff valve is the valve on the right.

Remove the spoiler shutoff valve:
(a)
Put a container below the shutoff valve to hold the hydraulic fluid.
(b)
Remove the four bolts that attach the shutoff valve to the modular package housing.
(c)
Remove the shutoff valve from the modular package housing: 1) Lift the shutoff valve straight up.
NOTE: You can turn the shutoff valve, a small amount, to
____ make the removal easier.
