Procedure
S 224-003
(1)
Do this task if you install used balance panel and seals: "Balance Panel and Seals Inspection/Check" (Ref 27-11-31/601).

Lubricate the forward hinges and hinge pins with the corrosion preventive compound.
S 424-015
(3)
Install the balance panel and seal:
(a)
Install the bolts that connect the forward hinge seals and seal retainers to the balance panel.
(b)
Put the balance panel in its position.
(c)
Install the forward and aft hinge pins.
(d)
Install the retaining bolts of the hinge pin.
(e)
Install the bolts that connect the seals to the inboard and outboard ends of the balance panel.
(f)
Make sure the clearance between the edge of the seals and the wing structure is not more than 0.03 inch.
(g)
Make sure that you install the correct number of tab adjust weights on the balance panel.
NOTE: The data plate on the balance tab will show the number
____ of the adjust weights necessary.

(4) Install the access panel on the lower wing surface.
