(2) S 214-005Examine the data plate on the outboard end of the tab for the necessary number of the tab adjust weights.
(3) S 214-006Make sure the balance panel bay has the correct number of the tab adjust weights. (a) If the balance panel bay does not have the correct number of the tab adjust weights, add or remove the weights. (b) Install the bolts in the holes that are not used to attach the weights (Fig. 401, 402).
(4) S 644-007Lubricate the hinge bearings with grease.
(5) S 424-008Install the balance tab: (a) Put the balance tab in its position. (b) Install the four hinge fittings on the tab with the fittings on the aileron (Fig. 402).
NOTE:____ The axial (inboard-outboard) play of the aileron tab must be between 0.01 and 0.02 inch.
(c) (d) (e) (f) (g) (h) (i) Install the four hinge bolts with two thin washers below each bolt head and one thick washer below the nut.Tighten the nuts to 7-17 pound-inches.Install the four cotter pins.Clean surface to give electrical bonding (SWPM 20-20-00).Install the bonding jumpers with applicable screw, nut, and washers (SWPM 20-20-00 TABLE X).Fillet seal fastener and bonding jumper end with sealant.Apply primer plus enamel to exposed bare metal not covered by faying surfaces.
