(1)
Remove the aileron body quadrant (Fig. 401):
(a)
Put the aileron in the neutral position.
(b)
Install the rig pin A/S-4 in the aileron bus drums.
(c)
Disconnect the left cables AA and AB at the turnbuckles.
(d)
Remove the retaining plates.
(e)
Safety the disconnected cables with clamps.
(f)
Remove the cables AA and AB from the aileron body quadrant.
(g)
Attach identification tags to the disconnected cables for easier assembly.
(h)
Remove the nuts, washers and bolts that hold the aileron body quadrant to its shaft.
(i)
Remove the nuts, washers and bolts to remove the bearing housing from the shaft of the aileron body quadrant.
(j)
Remove the shaft of the aileron body quadrant from the structure.
